Got a Conditional Offer? Here's How to Complete Your Financial Undertaking Form

Getting a conditional offer from NWU is exciting; it means you're one step closer to starting your university journey. But let's be honest: application forms, supporting documents and university admin can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, especially if it's your first time applying to university.

Don't stress. We've got you.

One of the important steps in securing your place at NWU is completing the Financial Undertaking Form. While it may sound complicated, it's actually quite straightforward when you know what information is needed and where to find it.

Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the form correctly and avoid any delays in your admission process.

Step 4: Review and upload

Before uploading your form, take a few minutes to double-check everything. A quick review now can save you time later.

After completing the form, carefully review all the details to ensure they are accurate.

To ensure that you upload the correct document to the student application portal, please name the file:

"Financial_Undertaking_Form_YourStudentNumber"

For example, if your student number is 12345678, the file should be named: Financial_Undertaking_Form_12345678

This will help you easily identify and upload the correct form, avoiding any confusion or errors during the submission process.

Upload the completed form to the application portal under the Documents section.

What to Do if Your Financial Undertaking Form is Rejected

Don't panic, rejections can happen, and they're usually easy to fix.

In rare cases, the Financial Undertaking Form may be rejected due to various reasons:

  • Incorrect student number or invalid ID number.
  • Inaccurate details or a signature that seems inauthentic.
  • Form errors such as missing information or incorrect formats.

If this happens:

  1. Carefully read the reason for the rejection provided by the system.
  2. Log in to the application portal, go to the Documents section, and download a new copy of the Financial Undertaking Form.
  3. Fill out the form correctly and resubmit it.

Important reminder

Your final offer from NWU will only be accepted once the Financial Undertaking Form has been completed, submitted and accepted by the financial office. For this reason, it's important to ensure that all information is accurate and complete before submitting the form. A few extra minutes spent checking your details can help prevent unnecessary delays and keep your application process moving smoothly.
