Before you can even hit submit on your application. It's R150 if you're a South African citizen, R600 if you're an international applicant, and yep, this one's non-refundable, so no skipping it and no doing it "later."
Okay, let's actually break this down because nobody wants to be stuck mid-application, wondering what button to click next. Before NWU can process your application, you need to pay this fee online; there's no other way to do it (no EFT-and-pray, no "I'll pay at the bank”, strictly online).
The fees
- R150 — for prospective students who are South African citizens
- R600 — for international applicants
Heads up: the administration fee can only be paid online.
How to actually pay it — step by step
Step 1: On the Submit Application to NWU screen, carefully review all your application information.
Step 2: Once you are satisfied that the information is correct, scroll down and click on the ‘Pay Study Application Fee’ button.
Step 3: The Payment Gateway will open, enter your email address, read the NWU refund policy, confirm that you have read it, and click on ‘Pay’.
Step 4: Enter your card details and complete the payment.
Step 5: The payment will be processed securely online through the application portal.
Step 6: Once your payment has been successfully completed, your ‘receipt number will be available’ at the top of the ‘Submit Application to NWU’ screen, and your application will be submitted automatically.
And that's literally it, six steps between you and a submitted application.
Just remember: this fee is non-refundable, so make sure your application details are correct before you pay. Get that part right, and the rest is smooth sailing.
It All Starts Here.
