You had a plan. You had your notes. You even had coffee. So how did you end up three hours deep into a completely unrelated TikTok rabbit hole? Welcome to the very real art of student procrastination.
You sit down with one very simple goal: “I’m just going to study for an hour.” But then, you proceed to follow an increasingly chaotic journey:
14:00 — “Okay, let's lock in.”
Laptop open. Notes ready. Water bottle filled. Serious face.
14:07 — “Let me just check WhatsApp quickly.”
One message becomes 14 minutes.
14:21 — “I deserve a little break.”
Snack break.
14:35 — “Actually, I study better with music.”
Playlist creation begins 💀
14:52 — “Wait… I need coffee.”
15:13 — Coffee acquired. Motivation mysteriously gone.
15:27 — Opens TikTok “for five minutes”.
16:04 — “Okay. NOW I’m studying.”
16:11 — Suddenly remembers the laundry exists.
16:45 — Group chat: “Guys, when is this assignment due?”
16:47 — Collective panic.
17:02 — Finally starts studying.
17:06 — “You know what? Tomorrow is still technically a day.” 😂
We get it, sometimes studying is finding your rhythm, taking a breather, laughing with friends, grabbing something to eat, getting distracted for absolutely no reason and eventually — somehow — getting the work done. University isn't always perfectly productive. And that's okay!
Just maybe don't leave the assignment until tomorrow…😆
