The NWU student body has spoken. We dropped our polls on Facebook and Instagram, and students from Potchefstroom, Mahikeng and Vanderbijlpark showed up in their thousands to defend their favourite campus eats. From legendary sit-down spots to grab-and-go staples, here's what your fellow students crowned as the best on-campus food destinations at NWU.
THE RESULTS BY CAMPUS
Potchefstroom Campus

Nearly half of all Potch voters (49%), put The Draak at the top. That's not a win, that's a statement. Whether it's the atmosphere, the food, or just the unbeatable campus energy, The Draak clearly holds a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of Potch students.
A solid runner-up goes to The SS, pulling a respectable 26%, clearly a go-to for quick convenience shopping and snacks on the run. The Dining Halls and Klipoog Cafeteria tied at 13% each, showing there's still love for a proper sit-down meal and a good cup of coffee, even if The Draak takes the crown.
Mahikeng Campus

With 57% of the total, the Student Centre edges ahead as Mahikeng's top campus eat. It's the heartbeat of student life on this campus, and clearly a lunch destination that students keep coming back to.
Don't count out The Coffee Shop, though, 43% is no afterthought. This was the closest race of all three campuses. If you're a Mahikeng student who needs a quality brew and a cosy spot to study, The Coffee Shop is clearly doing something right.
Vanderbijlpark Campus

Books & Beans earns a loyal 41%, a fan favourite for those who like their study sessions paired with a decent coffee and a snack. It's the kind of place that grows on you the longer your deadline looms. A strong second that clearly punches above its weight.
