What Do I Need for NWU's Selection Courses?

Some selection courses just look at your Grade 11 or 12 marks. Others want an audition, a portfolio, an online questionnaire, an interview, or even a psychometric assessment. There's no universal checklist here; it's course by course, so let's break it down.

It's time to lock in your future at North-West University, and if you've got your eye on a selection course, here's the tea you need before you apply. Some qualifications come with specialised requirements, but the good news is selection isn't a copy-paste process across the board. Some programmes go off your school results, while others need you to show up with an audition, a portfolio, an interview, or a questionnaire.

Once you've submitted your application, you'll get a letter confirming whether or not you meet the criteria. Didn't quite hit the mark with your Grade 11 results? Don't stress — you can still apply and wait for your Grade 12 results. If you still don't meet the programme requirements after that, you might be considered for the Xcel programme.
