NWU campuses: where will you find your tribe?

NWU campuses: where will you find your tribe?

You are sitting on campus, and you look up. You see an NWU community – people who are exactly like you, and yet nothing like you at the same time. People who have dreams to be greater than they are, working to achieve those dreams. A place like home.

The NWU is not just a group of buildings meant for academics, but a place where new friendships are created, new experiences lived, and new knowledge learned.

Do you want to get ready for next year? Tour our campuses.

Potchefstroom Campus

The biggest (and oldest) of all three NWU campuses, it is the proud home of the most National Research Foundation-rated researchers. But the best memories are made when you walk through Lover’s Lane in spring! (you won’t be disappointed), or meet up with some friends at the Amphi where you never know what interesting event might be happening…

Mahikeng Campus

Residing in the capital of the North West, the Mahikeng campus is ideal for academic programmes that focus on rural development in indigenous knowledge. The Great Hall is where your NWU journey will begin (with the welcoming) and where it will end (with your graduation), and of course a few exams in between …

Vanderbijlpark Campus

We dare you to find a more unique (and beautiful) campus! Located in a proclaimed nature reserve, who wouldn’t love to take a walk down to the Vaal River and do a bit of studying under the shade of a tree? Play some pool in the Student Centre, or play a game of spot the game (we know, cheesy) while walking to your classes … Just beware of the geese; especially if you have a grilled cheese sandwich!

Each campus has its own unique s tyle while showcasing a #ProudNWU culture of care and social justice. Don’t be afraid to take some time out of your busy academic life and plan a visit to each campus where new friendships and experiences await you!
